What To Expect
Comox Sport Fishing charters include all fishing gear, safety equipment and other necessities to ensure a successful and enjoyable day on the water. Our primary target is chinook salmon, but we will have the opportunity to target other bottom fish such as lingcod on full day charters. Depending on the season and availability, there may also be the opportunity to catch BC spot prawns, as that would be something we would discuss prior to the charter. Please note that safety is our top priority, in the unlikely event of unsafe weather conditions, we may need to reschedule the trip. We’ll do our best to provide as much notice as possible and work with you to find another suitable time to reschedule your trip.
What to Bring for a Successful Day on the Water
Guests are responsible for bringing their own food and beverages for the fishing adventure. This includes any snacks or meals you may want throughout the day, as well as plenty of water to stay hydrated. We also suggest that guests dress in layers to be prepared for the varying temperatures throughout the day. Mornings on the water off Vancouver Island can be chilly, but the weather often warms up to a beautiful sunny afternoon. Each angler is responsible for bringing their own paper copy of a valid BC saltwater fishing license. These licenses are required by law for anyone fishing in British Columbia and can be purchased online or at select retailers. We recommend obtaining your license in advance to ensure a smooth and timely departure.
